Published on : Tuesday 30-11--0001
Custom manufactured radiopaque stainless steel wire that can be produced with a specific intensity of radiopacity for optimum visibility has been introduced by Anomet Products of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, USA.
Anomet Radiopaque Stainless Steel Wire can be produced with the intensity of radiopacity controlled to optimize visibility under X-ray fluoroscopy for fabricating a stent, guidewire, or other implantable device. Featuring gold, platinum, tantalum, and similar alloys metallurgically bonded to a stainless steel core with 2% or more cladding thickness, the wire is offered in 0.05 mm to 1.52 mm O.D. sizes and has a smooth, consistent finish.
Easier to see than solid wire with marker bands, Anomet Radiopaque Stainless Steel Wire allows OEMs to select the radiopaque alloys best suited for their own device and application. Two or three precious metals and core materials including Nitinol® wire can be selected to achieve a wide range of desired properties such as corrosion-resistance or high conductivity and can meet precise specifications up to 3.2 mm O.D.
Anomet Radiopaque Stainless Steel Wire is priced according to composition and quantity. Samples and price quotations are available upon request.
