CloudLock Cloud Security Fabric
Published on : Tuesday 30-11--0001
While cloud security products focus on securing an enumerated list of SaaS applications, a platform extends security to protect apps on Infrastructure and Platform-as-a-Service (IaaS and PaaS) and dynamically orchestrates security across an organization's cybersecurity architecture, including Identity-as-a-Service (IDaaS), Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM), Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Software Web Gateways (SGW), Threat Emulation, and more.
As a platform, the CloudLock Cloud Security Fabric takes a programmatic approach to cloud security. In addition to leveraging APIs from cloud services, CloudLock is itself a collection of RESTful, API-based microservices. Using this approach, CloudLock dynamically applies individual security services (such as Cloud DLP) to customer apps on any platform, whether those apps are running on a well-known services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or an on-premises server.
Functionality
The CloudLock Cybersecurity Platform consists of five key components:
- Data Security & Compliance
- Threat Protection
- Application Discovery & Control
- Integrations & Orchestrations
- Custom App Security

As a platform, Cisco Cloudlock takes a programmatic approach to cloud security. In addition to leveraging APIs from cloud services, Cisco Cloudlock is itself a collection of RESTful, API-based microservices. Using this approach, Cisco Cloudlock dynamically applies individual security services (such as Cloud DLP) to customer apps on any platform.
The Cisco Cloudlock Cybersecurity Platform consists of four key components
Data Security & Compliance
Cisco Cloudlock protects organizations against data breaches in any cloud environment and app through a highly-configurable Cloud Data Loss Prevention (DLP) engine. Featuring countless out-of-the-box policies and a wide range of automated, policy-driven response actions such as encryption and quarantine, and end-user notifications, Cisco Cloudlock provides unparalleled coverage of cloud traffic.
Threat Protection
Cisco Cloudlock defends against account compromises with cross-platform User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) for SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and IDaaS environments. Cisco Cloudlock uses advanced machine learning to detect anomalies in account usage, in addition to identifying activities outside of whitelisted countries and actions across distances in an impossible amount of time.
Application Discovery & Control
The Cisco Cloudlock Apps Firewall discovers and controls malicious cloud apps connected to your corporate environment, and provides the world's largest crowd-sourced security solution to identify individual app risk, using our Community Trust Rating. Cisco Cloudlock is the only solution to have discovered over 250,000+ connected cloud applications.
Integrations & Orchestrations
For security teams that need to combat complex cyberthreats while meeting compliance regulations, the Cisco Cloudlock® Cybersecurity Orchestrator is an API-driven solution that aggregates data feeds across existing IT infrastructure to enrich security intelligence and harmonize data protection across on-premises and cloud environments for unprecedented insight and control.
