Multi-stage ejector

Piab vacuum pumps are of the multi-stage ejector type – a technology patented by PIAB in 1973. These vacuum pumps were developed to provide extra vacuum flow in combination with deep maximum vacuum levels while keeping energy consumption at a minimum. Piab pumps have no moving parts that vibrate or wear out – important features that contribute heavily to outstanding operational reliability and a pleasant, noise-free working environment.

piINLINE® MICRO are small light-weight inline ejectors which use the patented COAX® technology inside. piINLINE® also has a pending patent since it is the only inline vacuum generators based on multistage ejector technology. They can be mounted directly on the hose close to suction cup (or point of suction). Piab’spiINLINE® ejector program will offer much better performance with at least 40-50% lower energy consumption compared to the competing inline single-stage ejectors in corresponding sizes. Inline vacuum generators are especially common in electronic/semiconductor pick-and-place applications, dedicated packaging equipment, injection-molding automation and unloading/loading metal forming machines (bending, punching and laser-cutting).

With piINLINE® MICRO, Piab is also proud to offer a special micro cartridge, the Ti 5-2. This MICRO cartridge and the other MICRO cartridges have been developed to exceed the flow performance of single-stage inlines with 0.5-0.7 mm drive nozzle with a minimum of energy consumption. 

Featuring patented COAX® technology, the P6040 can reduce energy costs by up to 25% or more compared to other methods of generating vacuum. With flexible mounting options, an extensive performance range and optional control functions, the P6040 is highly adaptable and well suited for most industrial vacuum applications. PIAB has developed three main types of COAX® cartridges, Pi, Si and Xi, for different applications. The V30 module to the P6040 is a compact on/off valve with very good flow characteristics. The ES module to the P6040 vacuum pump saves energy when the vacuum or blow air requirement varies.
