Safety Couplings

With the SKX-L and SKB Safety Couplings, JAKOB Antriebstechnik GmbH offers a safety coupling generation for overload limitation or for collision protection for indirect drives, which meets the most modern requirements. The significantly increased user benefit consists of higher release torque and a more compact design. Furthermore, the assembly has been considerably simplified by the use of a clamping ring hub. Better concentricity, higher bearing loads, larger shaft or bore diameter and a simpler setting (scaling of the setting ring) are further improvements of the series.

The use of high-strength tempered steel with surface hardening or plasma coating of the relevant functional surfaces made it possible in some cases to double the disengaging torques.

JAKOB power clamping elements are used in heavy-duty cutting machines for positioning and clamping of work pieces up to 400 metric tons. The sectional rail coupling PKV (vertical) and PKH (horizontal) is another new product, which is used for the low-cost connection of sectional rail systems (e.g. used in transfer presses)
