On the road, at home or in the office, FactoryTalk® ViewPoint provides a secure interface with FactoryTalk View’s graphics, trending, and alarming applications through a Web browser. FactoryTalk ViewPoint extends the access to FactoryTalk View Site Edition (SE) and Machine Edition (ME) applications to user’s mobile devices for improved real-time decision making.

As an add-on to FactoryTalk® View SE and PanelView™ Plus, FactoryTalk ViewPoint delivers a rich, interactive experience that includes real-time and historical trending. You gain the simplicity of standard browser navigation and new degrees of access to critical FactoryTalk View information all in a web browser. There is no client software to install and maintain, lowering total cost of ownership.

Operating System

    FactoryTalk ViewPoint and FactoryTalk ViewPoint Administration have been tested on the following operating systems:

• Microsoft ® Windows Server ® 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 Update
• Windows CE 6 (for PanelView Plus)

Required server software

    FactoryTalk ViewPoint is an add-on to an existing FactoryTalk View system and requires FactoryTalk View v8.10.00 or later.

    The following technology is also required:

• Microsoft Windows .NET 3.5 SP1
• Internet Information Server (IIS)

    FactoryTalk ViewPoint has been tested on the following web browsers:
