Cloud Connected Intelligence for Cranes
Published on : Tuesday 30-11--0001
Cranes can now 'talk' to their operators (and each other) through the Cloud. Incosa Solutions, Belgium, has launched Cloud Connect for its intelligent crane controller device, the i-C4C, which can be fitted to virtually any brand of crane to monitor and control its performance. With Cloud Connect, crane technicians can simply link to the i-C4C device using a laptop, tablet or smartphone and download data, optimise the load and much more.
Users see a dashboard that presents a wealth of information, including data that can be used to predict potential problems and resolve them at an early stage. Besides enhancing safety, this saves time and money.
Thanks to the WiFi connectivity, engineers can easily set up and service the Cloud Connect system remotely. The i-C4C device can even send alerts to their smartphones if a service is required. Service companies also benefit from the real-time data streamed by the system, including data on loads, motor temperature and vibration, motor drives and abnormal power consumption. With all this information at their fingertips, service engineers can investigate breakdowns without having to go on-site. Work becomes safer and more efficient.
Incosa Solutions, Belgium, has clients across Europe and North America. It has been in the crane business for more than 20 years and Cloud Connect is just the latest in a long line of innovative products.
The first Cloud-connected intelligence for all cranes:
• Remote troubleshooting
• Proactive maintenance, and
• Safer & more efficient.
