WAGO's new PFC200 Controller with PROFIBUS DP Master brings additional networking capabilities to electricity, water and gas network applications. The new PFC200 variant creates gateways between PROFIBUS DP slaves and telecontrol protocols by supporting IEC 60870-5-101/-103/-104, IEC 61850/61400-25 and DNP3 telecontrol protocols. This extended temperature version also supports operating temperatures ranging between −20 and +60°C to meet all stringent telecontrol technology requirements.

WAGO's new PFC200 Controller utilises the Linux® real-time operating system and can be programmed using the industry-proven WAGO-I/O-PRO Configuration Software based on CODESYS. GSD files can be easily read in via the integrated PROFIBUS Configurator. A host of comprehensive security measures including SSL/TLS 1.2, SSH, VPN and a firewall protect sensitive production data.

The powerful PFC200 Controller's hardware features integrated telecontrol functions and relies on tried-and-true ETHERNET and CAN interfaces like other controllers within the PFC200 family. The new controller with a PROFIBUS DP Master interface and telecontrol functions also has a wide variety of approvals, allowing it to be used in virtually any application. Additionally, nearly every one of the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM’s 500+ I/O modules is supported by WAGO’s 750 Series local bus. This means that in addition to digital and analog I/O modules, several specialty modules (e.g., 3-phase power measurement module) are available for logging and processing highly varying signals.
