Explosion protected NORD drive solutions have been a part of the NORD product range for decades and can be supplied according to ATEX Categories 2D and 3D for Zones 21 and 22. These systems utilise the ignition protection type ""Protection by enclosure"" (tD)All of our dust explosion protected motors are approved according to ATEX and HazLoc and are available with the following options (selection):

• Brake (BRE+), Noise-reduced brake (NRB1/2), External fan (F)
• Motor protection: Temperature sensor (TF), Temperature monitor (TW), Standstill heater (SH)
• Motor connection: Motor plug connection (MS)
