Signal Conditioners and Isolation Amps
Published on : Tuesday 30-11--0001
WAGO's 857 and 2857 Series Signal Conditioners and Isolation Amplifiers not only provide a linear output signal that is proportional to the measured value, they also enhance signal quality for increased machine and system uptime. Designed for easy commissioning, operation and maintenance, WAGO's signal conditioners and isolation amplifiers make everyday tasks easier because their design merges usability with a comprehensive array of functions.
WAGO isolation amplifiers and signal conditioners advantages:
-
Common profile — jumpers can be used across the entire range for both 857 and 2857 Series devices
-
Easy-to-use configuration options
-
Removable, capacitive touch panel for configuration (2857 Series only)
-
Safe isolation per DIN EN 61140
-
Electrical isolation per DIN EN 61010-1
-
Wide operating temperature range (-25 °C … +70 °C)
In addition to isolation amplifiers and signal conditioners, the JUMPFLEX® product line also offers a wide variety of temperature measurement transformers, such as Pt sensors, thermocouples, Ni and KTY sensors. The family also includes signal conditioners for frequencies, potentiometers and current measurement with current transformers and Rogowski coils. Independent of the connected sensor, the signal conditioners output various analog standard signals (e.g., 4–20 mA, 0–10 V). Some devices also output defined switching thresholds via a relay or digital switching output (DO).
Isolation Amplifiers and Signal Conditioners of the 857 Series
857 Series Signal Conditioners and Isolation Amplifiers Packaged in a six millimeter wide housing provide high levels of measurement accuracy and a transmission error of ≤ 0.1 %. The devices have a three-way isolation with a 2.5 kV test voltage, providing a high degree of safety for systems, machines and people.
As ground loops are a frequent problem in analog signal transmission, electrically isolating signals is one of the most important functions.
Isolation Amplifiers and Signal Conditioners of the 2857 Series
Compared to the 857 Series, 2857 Series Signal Conditioners and Isolation Amplifiers offer both pluggable connectors and an optional, plug-in LCD display. The expanded connection levels allow new functions to be implemented. The 12.5 mm and 22.5 housings also provide 4 kV electrical isolation.
The 2857 Series devices borrow the shape of their housings from the 857 Series for easily jumpering the supply voltage between devices of these two series. This eliminates the time-consuming wiring of individual components.
For configuration, you can choose between DIP switches, PC software, smartphone app or the innovative, pluggable touch panel display.
Conclusion
With the JUMPFLEX® line of isolation amplifiers and signal conditioners, WAGO offers maximum flexibility and usability for commissioning, maintenance and service via advanced features and four different configuration options.
