Switching Cams

ifm electronic offers new switching cams which are compatible with actuators in accordance with VDI/VDE 3845, for reliable feedback of the valve position in quarter-turn actuators. The switch points are fixed (90°) or can now be adjusted to any desired angle. In doing so, the position of the damping elements can be freely selected. Thanks to the position indicator, the valve position is clearly visible, even from a distance.

The mounting orientation is recognisable from the outside. This allows quick and easy mounting on the shaft end of the actuator without the need for further adjustment. The switching cams are designed for a shaft height of 30mm. A shaft height of 20mm is also possible with the use of an adapter.

One version is designed for standard application with a 90° movement angle. With the other switching cam, the angle of the damping elements can be adjusted individually to the application-specific end positions. Together with the inductive dual sensors from ifm, the new switching cams form a unit that is hard to beat.
