At the EMO Hannover 2017, one of the latest developments on show will be Tool ID, a tool coding using RFID, which is said to result in greater transparency, efficiency and quality in metalworking operations. With Easy Tool-ID, Balluff now also offers an economical entry into tool management. The solution is reportedly simple to retrofit and stands out through its easy installation and configuration. The company's own safety components and integrated safety solutions are another highlight. The exhibitors claim to be the first in the world to offer safety over IO-Link, a simple-to-integrate, cost-saving safety solution based on IO-Link and Profisafe. This is open to the sensor level and thus allows the use of M12 standard cables as well as proprietary safety components and devices from other manufacturers. New, efficient sensor solutions for clamping distance monitoring on the tool spindle, position feed on the moving axes as well as end-of-travel monitoring on the linear drives will also be shown at the exhibition, as well as a complete line of pressure sensors for the monitoring of process pressure, hydraulic pressure and vacuum.
