Industrial applications are becoming increasingly complex. The demands being made of the connectivity used are growing at the same time. Functionality in the smallest of installation spaces, safe installation and a fast retrofitting process are just some of the product properties being called for. Not only does the Weidmuller RockStar® ModuPlug modular plug-in connector system meet current market requirements; it has been specially designed with the future in mind too. Weidmuller has introduced further innovations to the Moduplug family, the newest additions being the RJ45 and Pneumatic inserts. The company now offers a full range of RJ45 inserts and special slimline CAT 6 patch cords. It offers a gender changer in addition to some field attachable connector modules coded EIA/TIA T568 A, B and Profinet using either IDC and crimp connection technology. The pneumatics added have a two pole and a three pole version. There are four contact sizes available, 1.6, 3, 4 and 6.

RockStar® ModuPlug pneumatic modules enable the safe and efficient supply of compressed air to drives, controls, braking systems, holding, and unloading devices. Combined with a RockStar® housing and other electrical contacts of the ModuPlug series, RockStar® ModuPlug pneumatic modules provide – in a single connector – the option for hybrid configurations of compressed air, power, signal, and data transmission. This combination is particularly compact and also saves a lot of time during installation and maintenance.
