Taiwanese company Grintimate offers a hydrostatic cylindrical plunge grinding machine, the only one in Asia that is dedicated to the grinding of transmission gear for automobiles. The grinding wheel is rated up to Ø455 x (50~350) x 228.6. One-feed grinding boosts grinding capacity and machining efficiency tenfold, greatly cutting down machining time and labour costs.

The company guarantees a circularity of <2μm and a cylindricity of <2.5μm for one-feed grinding of workpieces up to 350mm. High-stiffness hydrostatic spindle is standard equipment, so it is not necessary to add and auxiliary bearing at the front of the main spindle. Double-sided synchronous drive and synchronised operation of headstock and tailstock on a workpiece are optional that can be configured to work with robotic arms. Standard accessories include FANUC servo motors and FANUC 4-Axis controller. Contact surfaces such as guide rails, wheelheads, and ballscrew bearing pedestals are all finely scraped so as to offer maximum assembly precision and load distribution. THK high-precision ballscrews are to avoid backslash feeding.

Grintimate uses the computational fluid dynamics model and finite element method FEM)to enlarge the V-shaped and rectangular for even and stable load distribution. The products are one hundred per cent designed and manufactured in Taiwan. After moulded metal has solidified, the cast components are left alone and undisturbed for at least six months before work begins again.
