Düsseldorf/Cologne, April 22, 2020 – The new, compactly designed Sonderhoff 3E dosing cell is economic, efficient and ecological. This mixing and dosing system for two components precisely processes liquid, medium and high-viscosity polyurethanes or other polymer reactive materials. Using the FIP (Formed-In-Place) technology, 2-component sealing foams, adhesives or potting compounds are directly applied onto the part, precisely and freely programmable, with the CNC-controlled mixing head. The Sonderhoff 3E dosing cell can be easily packed, transported and delivered as a completely assembled system in a 20-foot container. The CE-compliant 3E cell is prepared in such a way that it only needs to be set up at its destination and connected to the power, compressed air and water supply. As soon as electricity, compressed air and water are available and the conditioned material is in the material pressure tanks, the production can start.
The Sonderhoff 3E is designed as a completely closed dosing cell, and therefore, it can be used in production in a space-saving manner. The manual lift-door with integrated safety switch at the front of the cell allows access to the dosing area inside the machine and safely defines the hazardous area.
The Sonderhoff 3E dosing cell is designed as a starter model for frequent standard applications. The linear robot of the dosing cell controls the Sonderhoff MK 425 mixing head in a traversing range of 2.5 x 1.25 x 0.25 m (W x D x H). The mixing head is designed for output quantities of 0.5 to 5.0 g per second, with a mixing ratio that can be infinitely adjusted from 10 : 1 to 1 : 2. This allows approximately 80 percent of current applications to be covered. A further special feature is the use of high-pressure water rinsing technology, which provides an environmentally friendly rinsing of the mixing chamber in the mixing head using tap water instead of solvents.
The optional shuttle table unit permits the single-level processing of parts on two worktops, which move back and forth in a pendulum mode. This offers both continuous operation and short cycle times. For larger parts, the two worktops can be connected to one large shuttle table.
