Industry Revival post Lockdown
In the current Covid hit times, revival of industries , which are not necessarily Manufacturing imposes multiple challenges. Companies that can produce goods are reliant on their supply chains and a massive 80% of businesses surveyed are either struggling to source materials or have seen reduced orders from customers since the Covid-19 began. Restart of production or assembly lines with regulation around social distancing & related workplace compliance will set a NEW Normal for industry operations & supply chain. Only those will weather the storm who would plan Ahead across the industry value chain with new business models, process innovation, application of emerging/technologies – automation, industry 4.0 etc. An isolated outlook into solution with only one or two dimension would not work or sustainable so a holistic approach is inevitable to get desired outcomes.
Voice of Manufacturing’ is an initiative from NASSCOM CoE IndDIC to bring together a Core group from ecosystem & make them accessible, approachable to resolve industry problems holistically.
This will follow with Task Force to strategize solutions & execute to get results back to the Industry.
