Sensor and automation specialist Balluff organises virtual exhibition as a replacement for the postponed Hannover Messe.

Hannover/Neuhausen a. d. F., April 2020 – The Hannover Messe planned for the end of April was first postponed, later cancelled. In anticipation of the continuing spread of the Coronavirus or Covid-19 (SARS-CoV-2), the organisers had to take the decision. With around 6,000 exhibitors and 200,000 visitors, Hannover Messe is one of the world’s largest trade fairs for automation and energy technology. The sensor and automation specialist Balluff also planned to be on site as an exhibitor and present product innovations and solutions for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). Despite the cancellation of Hannover Messe, Balluff will offer all interested parties the ideal contact point for all aspects of automation by holding a virtual exhibition.
Product introductions and keynotes as online presentations: “The customer is in the centre of our interest. Due to the current Corona situation, we do not want to miss the chance to inform our customers about our new innovations and solutions,” states Florian Hermle, Executive Managing Director of Balluff. By organising a virtual exhibition, the sensor and automation specialist turns circumstances to its own advantage and offers an adequate replacement for the postponed Hannover Messe. At end of April, Balluff will therefore present the product highlights of the Hannover Messe to customers and interested parties via an online event platform. Within various keynotes and application sessions, Balluff experts will present new products and solutions and also highlight current topics concerning the Industrial Internet of Things. “We position ourselves as a future-orientated company that consistently uses the opportunities offered by digitalisation to create more value for its customers,” says Hermle.
