MIDC launches portal for manufacturing essentials during lockdown

District Collectors will give online approval and upload the same on the portal. The portal has no human interface and Companies can log in and register.
March 29, 2020 – MIDC has developed an online portal for all the units manufacturing essential commodities and part of continuous process industry for online approval to operate during the lockdown period across Maharashtra. This will bring some relief for companies seeking approval to run their units under the exclusions provided by central and state governments, while under lockdown due to Covid-19. District Collectors will give online approval and upload the same on the portal.
Highlights of the announcement:
All Industrial Establishments manufacturing essential commodities and production units which require continuous process can apply for the permit through this platform.
- Fill in all details including employee details, vendor details.
- Enter your email and mobile number.
- Upload the PAN copy (and process flowchart, if applicable) and click submit.
- Verify the email by entering the OTP received.
- After approval by authority, you will receive an Email alert and can download the Permit after login.
- Print a hard-copy and keep it at the factory/ plant/ unit at all times.
Forging or duplicating or making counterfeit documents will be considered punishable offense and strict actions will be taken against such establishments.
