ADI holds customer summit in India to support strategic ambitions

ADI CEO Vincent Roche meets with Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to strengthen Tech Future of India

September 2024 – On 19th September, Vincent Roche, along with senior ADI leadership, met with Mr Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister for Electronics, IT & Railways. They discussed how ADI can further contribute to India's expanding technology sector, with a focus on semiconductor manufacturing, skilling initiatives, and modernisation of electronics and railway infrastructure. This collaboration highlights ADI's long-term dedication to supporting India's strategic ambitions.

ADI's first customer summit in India concluded on September 17, with over 450 participants and keynotes from industry leaders, including Mr Roche. The event showcased more than 60 innovations across the Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial, and Communications sectors. Mr. Roche emphasized India's critical role in co-creating the future of technology, particularly highlighting how analog technology and AI can drive advancements in healthcare, energy, and electric vehicles. Dr Kumar Sivarajan, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Tejas Networks, also discussed the transformation of telecommunications in India. Jennifer Lloyd, Corporate Vice President and General Manager of Multi-Markets Power Business Units at Analog Devices, shared insights on innovations in energy efficiency and sustainability for a connected world.

On 18 September, ADI and Tata Group announced a strategic alliance to explore joint opportunities in India's semiconductor ecosystem, with a focus on manufacturing, electric vehicles, and network infrastructure.

Mr Roche is particularly optimistic about India's potential to lead in AI and edge innovation, drawing parallels to India's leapfrogging in wireless connectivity. He encouraged India to seize this moment to revolutionise sectors like healthcare, energy and electric vehicles (EVs), with ADI ready to be a strategic partner in this journey.

Mr Roche's visit underscores ADI's long-term commitment to India as a key partner in co-creating the future of technology.
