Statiq in partnership with Nexus Malls sets up a fast EV charging station in Udaipur

Statiq makes an entry into Rajasthan with the launch of an EV charging station at Nexus Celebration Mall, Udaipur.

 

Udaipur, January 18, 2022: As a part of its country-wide expansion drive, Statiq, Indias largest EV charging network, added yet another installation to its ever-expanding list of charging stations in the country. In partnership with Nexus Malls, Statiq inaugurated a charging station at Nexus Celebration Mall Udaipur, giving a much-needed impetus to the EV mobility in the city and its neighboring region. The charging station is equipped with two fast EV DC Chargers of 60 kW each which can enable charging of all kinds of electric cars available in the Indian market. The vehicles can be charged up to 80% in about 40 minutes only.

 This is the third charging station launched by Statiq with Nexus Malls in recent months on the back of having already launched similar installations in Chandigarh and Amritsar. Importantly, the company has teamed up with Nexus Malls for all of these projects. In fact, this partnership with Nexus Malls is to continue further in the coming months as part of the companys larger plan to build 17 EV charging hubs in as many as 13 cities in the country. These cities are: Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Udaipur, Mangalore, Chandigarh, Mysore and Indore. The new charging hubs in each of these cities is to be located at the parking lots of Nexus Malls giving readily-available charging solutions to the incoming as well as passing by EVs.

 With the installation of this charging station, we wish to not only encourage more and more people to take to EVs as an alternative mode of regular commuting in the city while alleviating their so-called range anxiety, but also to address to some extent the issues of pollution and its detrimental effects on peoples health, said Akshit Bansal, Co-founder and CEO, Statiq 

 Udaipur is also increasingly being developed as a smart city in recent times by the government in collaboration with private players. Given that green mobility is a natural complement to the idea of smart city, by way of this EV charging station, we wish to contribute out bit towards that goal.
