Taiwan machine tool outputs will increase in the years to come while the supply chain restructuring has generated new business opportunities.

Taipei, April 21, 2022: The world’s third largest machine tool show, Taipei International Machine Tool Show (TIMTOS), scheduled for March 6-11, 2023, will debut innovations and applications in EV and Metaverse at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Centre Halls 1 & 2 and TWTC Hall 1.
Since 2019, TIMTOS became the third largest machine tool show in the world. Notably, themed with ‘Green Machine Tools’, ‘Smart Machinery’, ‘Flexible Manufacturing’, and ‘Digital Simulation’. TIMTOS 2023 is returning to feature innovations and applications in EV and Metaverse sectors.
The exhibition will be also showcasing a full line-up of hybrid events, including online and offline procurement matchmaking, live broadcasting, forums and seminars. It is worth noting that, aside from a physical trade show, an online exhibition will be also available for one month.
Additionally, the show will present the ecosystem of metal processing, from key components to smart manufacturing solutions. According to the organiser TAITRA, TIMTOS will focus on the issue of ‘low-carbon supply chains’. Smart solutions that integrate the concepts of digitalisation and carbon reduction will be highlighted at the show.
Taiwan ranked third in the world's machine tool exports in 2021. Total exports of Taiwan machine tools in 2021 reached US$2.78 billion, a phenomenal increase by29.1% compared with 2020. What’s more, markets recorded more than 50% growth in Turkey, the Netherlands and Italy. Unsurprisingly, in anticipation of global continuing demand, Taiwan machine tool outputs will increase in the years to come while the supply chain restructuring has generated new business opportunities.
The booth application for overseas exhibitors will be available online from April 26 to August 31, 2022. Due to its popularity, booth applications will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.
