Worlds first machine tool show of the year remains popular

As the largest trade show in Taiwan since the outbreak of the pandemic, the show will make its debut at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Centre Hall 1 & Hall 2, February 21 to 26.

Taipei, February 21, 2022: With more than 1,000 overseas buyers from 62 countries pre-registered online, TIMTOS x TMTS 2022 has proved its continuing popularity among global machine tool professionals amid the ongoing pandemic. Until now, up to 700 sessions of procurement meetings have been signed up, according to one of the organisers, TAITRA.
As the largest trade show in Taiwan since the outbreak of the pandemic, the show will make its debut at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Centre Hall 1 & Hall 2, February 21 to 26 physically and the online exhibition, February 21 until March 21. A total of 950 exhibitors in 5,100 booths plan to have a presence at Taiwan’s first co-branded machine tool mega show.
TIMTOS x TMTS, one of the most influential machine tool trade shows, has successfully attracted exhibitors from 16 countries. National pavilions include Switzerland, Germany, and the United States, all representing key global machine tool producers.
Top-notch brands such as FFG, PMI, YLM, Hiwin, Shinbu, Kafo, CHMER, Fanuc, Mazak, Tongtai, You Ji, Taiwan Takisawa, YCM, Mitsubishi, Trumpf, Victor Taichung, Delta Electronics, Siemens are all gearing up to showcase their latest innovations and smart manufacturing solutions.
Buyers and the press alike also hail Taiwan’s achievement in containing the spread of the pandemic and wish to attend the show online. “High-profile attendees registered are Simens Turkey, Mighty USA, Timken, Japan’s Ohashi Technica, Russian Finval, Machine Tools India, and NIS in Bulgaria,” said a TAITRA spokesperson.
What’s more, TAITRA has initiated six major buyer and media services, including a wide array of online activities, Sourcing Taiwan Machinery, On-site Guide for Online Visitors, and Media Eye on TIMTOS x TMTS, etc.
Aside from those services, a number of choice exhibitors and exhibits will be live streaming through Live Tour @Showground, Media Eye on TIMTOS x TMTS, and Podcast Live. At the same time, the online exhibition features more selected products, with instant messaging and video conferences mechanism.
TAITRA has planned to follow high-profile pandemic safety protocols at the venue in an effort to safeguard all attendees’ health. An on-site pandemic prevention task force will be put in place. Measures such as disinfection mobile robots patrolling the show floor, touchless entry systems, adequate cleaning and sanitization day and night, and pandemic prevention kits for every exhibitor are ready to serve the participants during their entire stay.
