Genus Power signs MoU with Tata Power DDL for education and training

Genus Power Infrastructures Limited signs MoU with Tata Power DDL to provide education and training related to AMI Deployment.

New Delhi, September 23, 2021: Genus Power Infrastructures Ltd, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Power Delhi Distribution (Tata Power-DDL), a pioneering power utility supplying electricity to a populace of over 7 million in North Delhi to provide education and training on AMI deployment and its related aspects. This collaboration will offer best practices in developing and delivering customised, impactful technical training programs with a practical approach towards the maintenance of the electrical network.

As a part of the MoU, Genus Power and Tata Power-DDL will conduct capacity building training programs dedicated towards encouraging best practices in the area of Smart Meter Deployments for the betterment of DISCOMS. Tata Power-DDL will act as the technical guidance partner for Genus Power.

Commenting on the association, Mr Subir Verma, Chief-HR, IR& EHS, Tata Power-DDL said "Tata Power-DDL has been a frontrunner in the implementation of Smart Grid Technologies and also the roll-out of smart metering in its distribution area. Through this collaboration for imparting training pertaining to smart metering, we are sure that all other utilities will benefit immensely from the experience and learnings of our smart metering journey. AMI programme is one of Tata Power-DDL's key strategic initiatives for the modernisation of the grid and we are delighted to associate with Genus Power Infrastructures Ltd in providing effective capacity building training programs dedicated towards encouraging best practices in the area of Smart Meter Deployments."
