August, 2021 – Ambetronics Engineers Pvt Ltd has announced that its product Wireless Gas Detector has been named the winner of FIST Awards 2021 under the category ‘Product of the Year, Made in India – Fire Detection’. The company is an indigenous manufacturer of gas and flame detectors, gas analysers and process control instruments, clean room monitors, cold chain monitoring solutions and industrial automation solutions since last 29 years,
FIST Awards are annual awards initiated by the Fire & Security Association of India (FSAI). It recognises the extraordinary contribution of organisations and individuals in the field of security, safety, fire-fighting and emergency response.
“At Ambetronics we believe that safety comes first and it is our duty to ensure protection of people and property from any industrial/residential gas leak or fire hazards,” said Ashish Shah – MD, Ambetronics Engineers Pvt Ltd.

Ambetronics is the first and only company in India to have indigenously manufactured and successfully launched the Wireless Gas Detector (WGD-100) Series. It works on a GSM/GPRS technology compatible with 4G network. The wireless gas detector effectively detects the smallest leakage of Toxic, Combustible or asphyxiant gases on gas pipelines, tank farms, oil and gas industries, etc. The weatherproof and Flameproof (IP 66 for gas grade IIC) enclosure of the WGD gas detectors makes it suitable to be used at any hazardous locations.
The most intriguing fact of these detectors is that they can be powered by using solar panels also. As the need for wired connection is eliminated, the installation and maintenance of wireless gas detectors is much more cost effective and time saving as compared to other non-wireless detectors.
“This recognition boosts our motivation to keep up and work even harder to contribute towards fire and gas leak safety,” said Ravi Shah – Director, Ambetronics Engineers Pvt Ltd.
