Siemens emerges Most Awarded US Industrial Automation Vendor of 2021

Control Engineering awarded Siemens with 12 Engineers Choice Awards and is honoured to be the Most Awarded Industrial Automation Vendor of 2021.

February 05, 2021 – The engineers have spoken! Control Engineering awarded Siemens with 12 Engineers’ Choice Awards and is honoured to be the Most Awarded Industrial Automation Vendor of 2021. A total of 88 finalists from 44 companies were listed on the ballot for evaluation. Automation professionals from Control Engineering’s subscriber lists – all of whom are responsible for or influence technology purchases, or have hands-on day-to-day interaction with the technologies in each category – then voted to identify the products they felt were the most exceptional based on technological advancement, service to the industry and market impact.

Siemens won the awards in the following categories:

1- TIA Portal V16 has been named the Winner of the Industrial Internet of Things Connectivity – Software category

2- SIMATIC Drive Controller has been named the Winner of the Motion Control – Drives, Servo category

3- Siemens TIA Selection Tool has been named the Winner of the Software – Asset Management, Reporting category

4- SIMATIC HMI Unified Comfort Panel has been named the Winner of the Hardware – HMI, Operator Interface, Thin-Client category

5- SIMATIC ET 200eco PN F-DI 8 x 24 VDC has been named the Winner of the Safety – Machine Safety category

6- SIMATIC Field PG M6 Industrial Computer has been named the Winner of the Hardware – Industrial PCs, CNCs category

7- SIMATIC IOT 2050 has been named the Winner of the Network Integration – I/O Systems category

8- TIA Portal Test Suite Advanced V16 has been named the Winner of the Software – Control Design category

9- Sitrans LR100 compact radar transmitter has been named the Winner of the Process Control – Process Sensors, Transmitters category.

Honourable Mention:

10- SIMATIC WinCC Unified Engineering Software has been named the Honourable Mention of the Software – HMI Software category

11- ET 200SP MultiFieldbus Interface Module IM155-6MF High Feature has been named the Honourable Mention of the Network Integration – Ethernet Hardware, Switches category

12- FS-DSL Digital Sensor Link for Sitrans FST030 has been named the Honourable Mention of the Process Control – Process Sensors, Transmitters category.
