To drive down costs, companies must find efficiencies in how they conceptualise, design, manufacture, test, certify and support new aircraft.

February 03, 2021 – With the theme of showcasing ‘Digitalisation to realise a thriving Aerospace, Defense and Space ecosystem’, Dassault Systèmes at the 13th edition of Aero India 2021 showcases technology solutions to Improve Supply Chain Collaboration, to Design for Flexible Manufacturing, to Manage Complex Systems and Accelerate Program Integration and to Deliver High Performance Operations. Experts from Dassault Systèmes will be present at booth numbers A6.6 and A6.8, to discuss how to bridge the gap between the virtual and real world to accelerate concept to operations by 50% through industry solution experiences based on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
Across the Aerospace & Defense industry, rising customer expectations for lower costs, higher standards and increased capabilities along with growing program complexity continually make it more challenging to compete. As systems become more complex to design, build and deliver, OEMs and suppliers need to accelerate innovation, drive efficiencies and move to the factory of the future to allow for greater agility on production rates.

“The Aerospace & Defense sector in India is at an inflection point, given the large scale modernisation and indigenisation programs being undertaken by the Government. Companies in this sector have to cater to stakeholder expectations of lower costs, higher standards and increase capabilities along with growing program complexity. As systems become more complex to design, build and deliver, OEMs and suppliers need to accelerate innovation, drive efficiencies and move to the factory of the future to allow for greater agility on production rate,” said Ravikiran Pothukuchi, Director & Industry lead for Aerospace & Defense in India, Dassault Systemes.
At the event, Dassault Systèmes is showcasing how the 3DEXPERIENCE platform helps in collaborative innovation by developing new ways of working across teams. The 3DEXPERIENCE platform accelerates program maturity with digital continuity across engineering, manufacturing and business functions, drives flexible production by combining virtual planning and real operations for continuous improvement, and creates new business opportunities with the full potential and controlled investment of cloud solutions.

“Dassault Systemes in India enables the Aerospace and Defense sector with new way to conceptualise, design, manufacture, test, certify and sustain new air, land, water and space vehicles. We are working in domains of Military Aerospace, Civil Aerospace, Defense and Space programs with PSUs and private sector to address indigenous development of military aircrafts, components, indigenous development of regional transport vehicles in India, space and UAV MSMEs and startups across the country. We are also working closely with various State Governments to set up Centres of Excellence that can provide necessary training to the current and future generation of engineers, in the Aerospace and Defense industry,” concluded Ravikiran Pothukuchi.
