Hindustan Zinc wins CII-ITC Corporate Excellence Sustainability Award 2020

The award was presented in a virtual ceremony held in presence of Anurag Singh Thakur, Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs.

Mumbai, December 24, 2020: Hindustan Zinc has been honoured with the prestigious receiving CII-ITC Corporate Excellence Sustainability Award 2020 – Commendation for Significant Achievement. The award was presented to Hindustan Zinc at the 15th CII-ITC Sustainability Awards in a virtual ceremony held in the presence of Anurag Singh Thakur, Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs.
Hindustan Zinc believes in innovating for a sustainable future and constantly seeks ways to be more responsible in their business operations. Hindustan Zinc has emphasised greatly on renewable energy assets by setting up wind and solar energy projects. Their ~275 MW wind energy project and ~40 MW solar energy project are certified under the prestigious Gold Standard as well. The company has furthered its commitment to sustainability by setting up Sustainable Development Goals 2025 as well.
Hindustan Zinc had also won the CII-ITC Sustainability Award in the 'Environment' category in 2019. The CII-ITC Sustainability Award is considered to be among the most credible sustainability Awards in the country.
