Piramal Glass wins Digital Transformer Award at India IDC Digital Transformation Award 2020

Pune, October 2020 – Websym Solutions has announced that Piramal Glass Private Limited,

one of its customers in the container glass manufacturing industry has been named “Digital Transformer” at this year’s India IDC Digital Transformer Award 2020, announced in the first of its kind virtual award ceremony held on IDC’s virtual platform – IDC Arena on October 15th 2020. Piramal Glass bagged this award for achieving excellence in embracing digital transformation by deploying a solution based on Websym’s FaktoryWize IoT platform called RTMI (Real Time Manufacturing Insights) between 2017 -2019 in collaboration with Microsoft for Real time analysis of its manufacturing operations. Piramal Glass has currently implemented the FaktoryWize solution on 60+ production lines across their four plants in three countries.

Through this successful implementation, Piramal Glass has reduced the cost of ownership by 70%, manual data gathering by 40%, gained production efficiency by Rs. 20 crs and 5% reduction in defects translating to better quality and enhanced predictability of delivery timeliness.
