Vietnam, October 13, 2020 – The premier annual gathering of the ASEAN energy Ministers and Global Energy Leaders, ASEAN Energy Business Forum (AEBF) 2020 provides a unique platform for ASEAN policy makers and global private sector organisations to drive forward the region's energy transition plans and projects valued at US$3.5 trillion by 2040. Global Energy executives and Senior Policy Makers are all set to engage in public-private partnership cooperation discussions and project development business collaboration meetings. Hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), Vietnam, event co-organizers ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) and dmg events have taken the decision to host AEBF virtually from November 17 to 20, 2020, with the full Forum resuming in Q3 2021 in Brunei.
The decision was taken after careful consideration for the health and safety of participants and as a preventive measure in response to Covid-19.
The 38th edition of the Forum will centre on the theme of 'Responsive and Cohesive Energy Pathways for ASEAN' and will be held in conjunction with the 38th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting (AMEM). The Prime Minister of Vietnam, Nguy?n Xuân Phúc, is set to deliver the keynote speech to officiate the joint opening ceremony.
