C4i4 Lab develops BLE Bluetooth based Indoor Navigation solution

Currently, C4i4 Lab is developing a state-of-the-art experience centre to showcase emerging technologies.

September 2020 – In assembly units, warehouses, bespoke production plants, and distribution centres, the traditional material picking process is highly manual and reliant on picking personnel familiarity with warehouse layout. This results in longer search times, lower productivity and efficiency of the picking personnel, and little insight into the efficiency of the picking process. Addressing these issues, C4i4 Lab developed an app called ‘NAVIGATE’. NAVIGATE is a BLE Bluetooth based Indoor Navigation solution that helps workers inside factories reach their desired picking location by providing visual guidance using their smart phone.

NAVIGATE is not only effective in ensuring shorter equipment/material pick up times and increased productivity of picking personnel, but also provides live location tracking and picking process analytics for the warehouse managers which is highly helpful in analysing the worker performance, and optimising the pick-up routes. This solution is being offered as a turnkey solution. It covers the best of infrastructure, analytics, software, security, and professional services into a single pre-configured solution which comes out of one box.

As much as the earlier C4i4 application ANZEN for worker safety and attendance monitoring, NAVIGATE is another application which introduces Digital Technologies to manufacturing plants in a comfortable manner.
