Customers today look for solutions rather than products. How do you address such requirements?

Technological excellence and application know-how embody the spirit of ReeR. 15% of our personnel is employed in the R&D department, with expertise in safety hardware, software and firmware.

Furthermore, ReeR is one of the main players in the standardisation process development as it takes part in the most important national and international Organising Committees on machinery safety requirements. ReeR is committed to continuously improving its quality management processes by minimising the defective returns and ensuring a very high product reliability.

Product traceability and production process control are ensured by a ReeR proprietary management software. The ReeR product quality is guaranteed by the Quality System certified by TÜV Italia according to the ISO 9001:2008 standard.

What are the advantages of the Mosaic unit and its derivatives?

Mosaic is a safety hub able to manage all safety functions of a machinery or a plant, and offers the following advantages:

• It is configurable and scalable
• Allows cost reductions and minimal wiring
• It can manage safety sensors and safety signals such as light curtains, photocells, laser scanners, emergency stops, electromechanical switches, guard-lock safety door switches, magnetic switches, RFID switches, safety mats and edges, two-hands controls, hand grip switches, encoders and proximities for speed control
• Reducing the number of devices and wiring used and, therefore, the overall size of the project, all size of the project
• Speeding-up control panel construction
• Allows tamper-proof system configurations
• All logic is configured through a graphic interface – no more laborious wiring is needed as with traditional solutions
• A lower number of electromechanical components also means a better performance level and therefore a higher safety level, and
• The project report provides the actual values of PFH, DCavg and MTTFd according to EN 13849-1 and EN 62061.

Is there a backup should one particular sensor fail in a system, for a safe shutdown?

Basically, ReeR safety products take care of the operator safety and the machine safety. When the fault is detected it automatically sends signals for a safe shutdown.  

How long has the company been active in the Indian market? What is the nature of operations presently?

ReeR started in the year 1959 in as a leading manufacturers of optoelectronic sensors based at Turin, Italy, with direct sales network in Italy and China and 65+ distributors in the world.

ReeR is active in the Indian market almost 20 years through the authorised distributors. In 2018 ReeR appointed a Country Manager – India, based at Chennai to appoint pan India distributors as well as for increasing the Sales & Marketing activities pan India. We are a growing company with a very huge potential in terms of demand and customers in the Indian market.
