How integrated are HIWIN products in the Industry 4.0 ecosystem and what are the proprietary technologies used?
HIWIN plays an important role in the Industry 4.0 ecosystem. The company has many solutions which integrate HIWIN products to upgrade customers’ requirements; also bring them into the Industry 4.0 ecosystem. HIWIN’s solutions such as industrial robots and automation devices all integrate the critical components in the production system, which help customers with value added functions and become best partner for Industry 4.0.

What are the new products and solutions you launched during Automation Expo Connect? How is the Datorker Rotary Actuator received in the market?
HIWIN new products include SCARA-LU Series Robots, DATORKER and DRA (DATORKER Rotary Actuators). DRA is being inquired by many companies who require compact size rotary actuators for automation and indexing purposes, robotics, etc.

Companies today are seen not merely as product vendors but solution providers. How does HIWIN help the user industries integrate its products in their machines?
HIWIN has partners who can serve pan-India customers. Our partners have been well trained with good knowledge on automation and system integration. Moreover, HIWIN also provides pre-sales evaluation service helping our valued customers to get the right products they need.

How has the Covid pandemic and lockdown impacted business and how do you see the present period?
The Covid pandemic has an impacted everyone; however, HIWIN has managed the pandemic in a proper way with no major disruption. HIWIN business is booming to support customers in India. HIWIN helps customers in automation and medical applications such as mask automation, ventilators and medical devices. The HIWIN team is waiting for the international borders to re-open, so we can have face to face interaction with our customers and provide value added services and solutions to them.

HIWIN has a long presence in the Indian market. What industry segments are the main users of HIWIN products here? How is the market expanding?
HIWIN serves a wide range of industries. The main users in India are from diverse sectors like automation, machine tools, packaging, food, medical applications to name a few. As Indian market keeps developing and growing, HIWIN will grow with Indian market and is the best partner for industry 4.0 in India. HIWIN can provide upgrades and integrated total solutions to our customers.
