1. Do you see any challenges in the growth of your industry?

Phoenix Contact’s core business is diversified into various products lines. We offer a number of product lines- from small PCB mounted terminal module to high end automation which is being used in various industries segment like process automation, machine & cabinet building, telecom, railway, factory automation & other infrastructure applications. So according to market dynamics, it helps us to achieve steady growth and provide dependency reduction on a particular industry segment.

2. The particular segment you operate in does it have any issues that need resolving, what are your recommendations?
    

Industries are ever changing. Demographic, political, geographical developments dynamically shape the markets. Coping up with the trends is the biggest challenge in the growth of our Industry.

The tremendous growth in the Automation Industry (Industrial, Building, Process) makes Phoenix Contact,  to be an innovative company by continuously expanding our corresponding products, solutions and application portfolio driven by a strong focus on our customer’s desires and demands.

3. What do you think is the strongest attribute or characteristics of your products that make them stand up to the competition
   Inspiring innovation is the key growth trendsetter of PHOENIX CONTACT, We being the market leader in component market segment following the customer demand and expectations.

Automation technology is constantly trying to determine which future trends are really relevant & which solutions the current & future market expect.

 

 

4.  What do you observe as the trends in your industry? What products do you see as winners over the next 2-3 years? What new technologies do you see emerging or taking centerstage?

The products which are dealing with the Data and Communication will be winners in the next 2-3 years. An unbelievable explosion of data – transferred and stored (e.g. > 2.5 Mill. emails currently send per second) is creating a huge demand for Data Communication and Storage.

The new technologies are IT – powered PLCs, Profi Cloud, Open PLC Technology for future proof Automation & Cyber Security products. Over the last few years Phoenix contact major focus is on vertical market like infrastructure, process, and energy& factory automation.

Among the emerging technologies that will drive the future trends are- renewable (wind, solar &etc.), Power transmission & distribution, which is a part of Energy Vertical. Phoenix Contact Product development team is planning to develop product & solution suitable for all the above vertical market.
