Please explain your project briefly in a few sentences. What inspired you to work on this project?
The project's primary objective is efficient auxiliary power management in buildings. It achieves this through section categorisation using weighted values, combined with an intuitive Internet of Things (IoT) interface. Authorised personnel can seamlessly adjust priority levels to meet specific requirements. This innovative system promises to revolutionise power distribution, enhancing both efficiency and adaptability within buildings. Its dynamic approach ensures optimal power allocation, offering a responsive and user-friendly solution for managing auxiliary power resources effectively.
How was the response from visitors and peers to your project at Automation Expo 2023?

Peers recognised the relevance of the project to the industry's growing need for smarter energy management solutions, acknowledging its potential to revolutionise power distribution systems. The showcase provided excellent networking opportunities, paving the way for potential collaborations, partnerships, and future developments.
Did you receive any offers or encouragement from exhibiting companies or visiting industry professionals?

Several prominent companies expressed a keen interest in collaborating to further develop and implement the project in real-world industrial settings. The potential for collaboration ranged from joint research initiatives to pilot projects and full-scale implementations. Industry professionals were impressed by the innovative approach and the practicality of the project. As a result, they extended internship offers to team members, providing opportunities to work on cutting-edge projects within their organisations. Additionally, some team members received job placement offers, underlining the industry relevance and demand for their skills.

How did you find the initial idea and what was your reaction to it?
The initiative idea is from the students and after hearing it, I think that it would take Automation to the next level.

What was the response from the students to your guidance and the deliberations that followed?
They were very glad and accepted the suggestion given by me and were implemented in the prototype.

How does the college encourage and inspire students to go beyond theory and experiment with projects?
Our institution supports us in a grand manner providing enough support for the students to do the working prototype.
