Our project focused on creating an automated turret with auto focus using AI for a micro Vickers hardness tester, integrated with PLC. The goal was to enhance efficiency and accuracy in hardness testing processes. The inspiration came from the need for precise and automated measurements in material testing.

The initial idea for this project stemmed from identifying the need for automation in material hardness testing, aiming to improve precision and efficiency. My reaction was enthusiastic as it presented a significant opportunity for innovation and practical application.

The students responded positively to my guidance, embracing the project's challenges and putting in the effort to comprehend and implement the intricacies of the automation system. The deliberations were fruitful, fostering a collaborative environment where ideas were shared, refined, and ultimately integrated into the project.
