DataBridge™ MS software prevents electronic manipulation of weight readings by plotting a curve for each truck that drives across a scale. If a driver or scale operator uses an electronic device to tamper with a weight reading, the weight curve will spike up or down to indicate the sudden weight change. Weight curves can be monitored in real time and stored for administrators to review later.
Stored tare weights
By storing tare weights, the software prevents drivers from artificially inflating the weight of empty trucks. Stored tare weights protect against drivers who carry extra weight for an inbound weighing and then discard the weight before the outbound weighing. You can require new tare weights at regular intervals and keep those weights honest by comparing them with the previous tare weight or with an average tare weight.
Camera capabilities
The software’s optional camera module makes full use of cameras to identify trucks and verify the legitimacy of transactions. It allows scale operators to monitor live video of the scales and spot trucks that are positioned incorrectly. The software also records images of key events (such as when a truck’s weight is captured), storing those images with the transaction record.
Preloading
A preload feature ensures that suppliers are not paid more than once for an individual load. Administrators schedule deliveries of bulk materials and preload information for each one. When a truck arrives at the scale, the software retrieves the preloaded transaction for the truck and begins processing it. By requiring a preloaded transaction for each delivery, the software prevents drivers from getting more than one ticket for a load
Audit log
A tamper-proof audit log stores a permanent record of all weighing transactions and changes made to the database. Administrators can review any record at any time to verify its legitimacy. The software also tracks reprinted tickets, providing evidence if a scale operator cheats the business by issuing multiple tickets for an individual load.
Unattended weighing solutions
Unattended weighing is an effective strategy for increasing productivity and reducing operating costs. It introduces self-service efficiency to a vehicle-weighing operation. An unattended solution is ideal for scales in remote locations, scales that operate around the clock, and facilities with multiple scales.
