Sakhee Chandrayan dwells on creating focus on balanced buildings based on the three pillars of Technology, Togetherness and Thoughtfulness.

A community engaged in empowering Technology, Togetherness and Thoughtfulness helps the industry achieve balanced and sustainable growth.
When it comes to building automation, it differs from industrial automation in one significant aspect – its impact! The output of industrial automation impacts the product whereas the output of building automation impacts human beings! It has the capacity to alter our comfort to discomfort and our safety to life risks.
Healthy and sustainable buildings are those which create high quality indoor environments while minimising their impacts on the mother earth.
Building Automation Industry stakeholders like Consumers, Government Bodies and solution providers must be supported in the shift from traditional surveillance-based approach towards data analytics-based approach utilising high-quality, real-time data without compromising personal privacy. By the extensive adoption and use of international standards in the built environment, considerable savings in time, material and money can be achieved.
Building automation systems contribute significantly towards improving a building’s efficiency and flexibility of use, making the operations easier and economical. These benefits can be realised by ensuring deployment of solutions which are based on open systems, which are interoperable across multiple platforms, and have future proof interfaces.
INBAC Association in collaboration with Automation Expo 2022 welcomes you to the era of balanced buildings.
As we grow from the current building automation technologies to the new age technologies, we need to focus more on togetherness and thoughtfulness for the wellbeing of our building automation industry. The concept of Building Automation is evolving to a bigger and broader concept of Smart Infrastructure targeting seamless integrations of multiple systems from rooftop (solar) to basement (EVs). It is certainly beyond the capacity of Technology alone to solve the systemic issues. This evolution demands Togetherness and Thoughtfulness.
Let’s take an example of EVs. Do you think it is only because of petrol prices the EV market is catching up? No, it sounds great that for some upfront capital cost for the vehicle one will save huge amounts of operational cost. However, the buying decision is largely based on charging station infrastructure. The EV industry has done a commendable job of standardising the charging stations which is a systemic issue. This standardisation certainly creates more infrastructure for every seller and reduces range anxiety for the buyers. Together solving such systemic issues is thoughtful, isn’t it?
We are engaged in creating focus on balanced buildings of the new era based on three pillars of Technology, Togetherness and Thoughtfulness. In the building automation conference (INTalk) organised on 18th August 2022 during the Automation Expo, we have industry stalwarts talking about critical topics like:
i. Creating smart infrastructure – Transform challenges into opportunities.
ii. Building IoT (BIoT) – Why creating energy efficient infrastructure is a necessity, what is the situation post pandemic.
iii. Cybersecurity – Managing smart infrastructure risks through certified products and the prime importance of interface communication.
The INTalk shall be followed by a Panel Discussion with esteemed speakers from our industry on the topic Connected Buildings by Connected People!
Alongside the inspiring and action-oriented talks and discussions, there are exhibitors in the building automation zone you must visit!
We, again, welcome you to the era of balanced buildings!
