Technologies to make measurement precise, processes reliable and plant asset management efficient.

It is only with constant innovation that we can keep pace and even get ahead of today’s fast changing demands on process automation. We develop our sensor technologies in collaboration with research institutes and based on our customer’s demands. However, innovation does not stop at the sensor. Industrial communication and data management technologies are crucial to prepare for the digital transformation.
1. Memosens 2.0: Cutting-edge sensor technology reloaded

Make life easier, increase process safety and stay connected with Memosens 2.0 digital technology
Memosens technology has revolutionised liquid analysis technology. It converts the measured value to a digital signal and transfers it inductively to the transmitter, eliminating the problems associated with moisture. With signal alarms in the event of transmission disruption, Memosens offers safe data transfer for increased availability of the measuring point and trouble-free processes. With Memosens 2.0, measuring points become completely future-proof and ready for IIoT.
2. Heartbeat Technology

Taking the pulse of your measurement
You would like to increase your plant availability and reduce costs? Heartbeat Technology guarantees permanent diagnostics and verification without process interruptions. It ensures a cost-efficient and safe plant operation during the entire life cycle. A broad range of Endress+Hauser devices with Heartbeat Technology is available, which combines diagnostic, verification and monitoring functions for process optimisations.
3. Raman spectroscopy - advanced optical analysis technology

High performance instruments that take your composition & quality measurements from lab-to-process
Our advanced optical analysis technology harnesses the power of Raman spectroscopy to perform continuous, real-time chemical measurements in any environment without needing to extract, prepare, or destroy the native sample. With over 40 years of experience, the depth and breadth of our portfolio allow our customers chemical insights that streamline product development, provide analytical scalability, and ensure product quality through process automation.
Kaiser Raman analysers
All of our analyser systems share common technology and allow easy transfer of knowledge and protocols from the R&D lab to manufacturing.

4. iTHERM TrustSens self-calibrating temperature sensor

Award-winning sensor technology helps reduce risk, improve process safety in critical applications
Endress+Hauser has developed the world's first self-calibrating temperature sensor technology specifically designed for hygienic applications that require strict compliance to FDA regulations and GMP rules. The sensor unit combines a standard Pt100 RTD sensor with a highly accurate fixed-point reference element that makes use of the Curie temperature effect to generate a calibration signal. The award-winning design helps to minimise risk and measurement uncertainties in critical processes.
5. Digital Twins

The digital twin is quite simple to explain; the idea is to create a digital version of a real thing in the cloud of a product, process, or service.
The digital twin is becoming increasingly important across all industrial sectors. Serving as the interface between physical devices and components in the digital world, it enables the representation of complete production platforms in IT systems for simulating, controlling, and improving processes. With its information and data, the digital twin is the key to virtually connecting value chains and for digital applications across the entire life cycle.
The concept of the digital twin is an important aspect in the digitalisation of our customers’ production systems. For this reason, it’s important that manufacturers and plant operators create common standards so that the exchange of this information can function smoothly and securely.
When we talk about IIoT or Industry 4.0, we are referring to smart devices. These smart devices provide valuable data all the time. This contrasts with the standalone solutions we often had in the past in the industrial environment.
It’s possible to connect these devices to the cloud and use digital twins to create virtual version of them, Later, during operation, all data are collected in the cloud, and the digital twins can learn how its counterpart ticks.
6. Human Machine Interface (HMI) for unified operation

Fast & easy commissioning of your measuring points with our standardised Human Machine Interface HMI
Simplicity through uniformity – Having various devices with different measurement technologies installed in your process can be challenging when it comes to commissioning, operating or maintenance. With our unified Human Machine Interface (HMI) operation concept, we can help you overcome these challenges. All our devices offer a uniform user interface which makes your daily life easier. Less time to understand the device means less time for training and less time to perform your tasks.
7. The SmartBlue App
Comfortable and secure access to your devices
You choose a safe and comfortable place within a radius of up to 20 meters around the device to run it. Especially in places difficult to reach or hazardous areas it is very precious to commission and operate the device via the SmartBlue App. For maintenance all data is always at hand in real-time. SmartBlue is based on Bluetooth® wireless technology, no separate driver is needed. And the data is transformed encoded; the system is approved by the acknowledged German institute Fraunhofer.
