At the inauguration ceremony, Mr Kailash Desai said, “Digitalisation and Innovation is disrupting the Process Automation field, we should consider it as a healthy disruption and learn new tools or techniques for the industries. The lab helps the students to access some of the most modern instruments available from the process industries. I am sure students will benefit from this lab and gain practical knowledge apart from theoretical knowledge received from this reputed institute.”
Encouraging the students, Mr Kailash Desai added, “India is a growing country and students should not be demotivated by the negativity at such challenging times of coronavirus. Pandemics have, in the past, inspired progress in medicine, urban planning, food and beverages, and countless other fields. This one will be the same. The future of India needs more skilled people especially engineers who can help solve complex technical problems.”
Mr Jens Winkelmann also addressed the audience and shared some insights about new technologies and trends in the industry for the benefit of students. He said, “Every day at our organisation level, we talk about digitalisation in business processes and new technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IIoT, etc. We need to adapt these new technologies to stay competitive in the industry and bring in the best quality, accuracy and efficiency in the plants.” He also highlighted that Corporate Social Responsibility is close to Endress+Hauser Group and as a family business, the company combines family success with social progress.
